Summary
In order to rescue her sister Bai Suzhen (the White Snake spirit) who is trapped in the Leifeng Pagoda, Xiaoqing (the Green Snake spirit) risks her life to steal the ‘Purity Vial’ from the Heavenly Palace. As a result, Na Zha, the immortal responsible for guarding the Purity Vial, is exiled to the human world as punishment. Eager to redeem himself, Na Zha reincarnates on earth as Bao Ren (Qiu Xinzhi). In a surprising twist of fate, 18 years later the grown-up Bao Ren meets Xiaoqing and falls in love with her. Together, they set out to find the lost Vial, but it accidentally gets destroyed in the midst of a fierce fight, bringing about a catastrophe to humanity…
